Alex Andrews is a Niagara-based traditional musician specializing in instrumental banjo, guitar, fiddle, and mandolin music.
His work is informed by long-term study of Canadian and American folk music, with material learned directly from 78 rpm records, cylinders and sheet music.
Alex has performed throughout southern Ontario at festivals, historical societies, wineries, and other venues, and previously led the Niagara String Band.
In 2024, he formed the Andrews & Finch duo with Bill Finch, performing unique arrangements of ragtime and other early 20th century music.
